Walking Toward Hope: A Look Back at the 2025 ‘Compassion in Every Step’ Spring Fundraiser

We are overjoyed to reflect on the success of our 2025 Compassion in Every Step spring fundraiser, held on May 14 at Granite Links. This unforgettable evening brought together friends, families, supporters, and advocates—all united by a shared belief in the importance of mental health care for all.

Thanks to your generosity, passion, and presence, this year’s event raised critical funds to support Maria Droste Counseling Services' mission of providing professional mental health counseling and holistic therapies that are compassion-based and affordable to ALL in need. Your participation ensures that individuals and families in crisis can access the care they deserve, regardless of income or insurance status.

We were especially proud to partner this year with Quincy High School’s fashion program, where students designed and transformed shoes to express their experiences and perspectives on mental health. These thoughtful and creative works were a moving centerpiece of the evening, highlighting the next generation’s courage and commitment to ending stigma and promoting emotional well-being.

To our event sponsors, in-kind donors, volunteers, board members, and individual donors, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your gifts of time, talent, and resources brought this event to life and directly supported our ability to hire more clinicians, reduce waitlists, and expand access to affordable mental health care across Massachusetts.

At Maria Droste Counseling Services, we continue to meet growing demand by providing care to children, teens, and adults who are often left behind by the traditional health care system. Events like Compassion in Every Step raise vital funds and create space for healing, hope, and community.

From all of us at MDCS—thank you for walking alongside us and making this mission possible.

Stay connected with us for updates, stories, and ways to get involved as we continue to bring hope to life.
