Director of Operations
After a lengthy career in the private sector followed by 10 years as a stay at home mom, I decided it was time to re-enter the workforce in the not for profit world. Hired by our late former Director, Sr. Lorraine Bernier in 2012, I knew I was on a new path in life, one that was going to be more than just a job. This was going to be different, exciting and gratifying! I wear many hats and oversee the day-to-day operations for our staff and volunteers. I work directly with our Executive Director, Board of Directors and various committees that support our mission. I have found within myself skills I didn’t know I possessed, one of which – I am told – is having a keen sense of people. Many times I am the first one to offer reassurance to a caller who is in crisis or sit down in our waiting area with a person who came in off the street distressed and looking for help. I welcome my role and my gifts and I see how my ability to treat others with compassion compliments my position here.
