Irina Izovskaya, MA MHC
outpatient therapist
I believe mental health counseling is beneficial not only for those experiencing acute emotional distress, but also for anyone navigating everyday challenges. Therapy offers support as you learn to cope with life's stresses, recognize your unique strengths, find greater happiness in your relationships, and connect more meaningfully with your community. I also believe that who we are is a constantly evolving process. My goal is to support you on your journey and to foster a safe space where you can tell your own story and share your struggles.
My practice is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), which recognizes that we are all made up of many different “parts” or sub-personalities. While these parts may sometimes seem in conflict or lead us to act in ways we don’t always understand, I believe each one is ultimately trying to protect us or help us meet important needs, such as safety, belonging, or love. I can support you in exploring your inner world—helping you welcome and understand your parts with curiosity and compassion. Together, we can work toward greater self-awareness and healing.
In addition to my training in IFS, I am also trained in Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO) for couples, and in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I weave these modalities into my work with both individuals and couples, tailoring my approach to address your specific goals and needs.
Whether you’re looking for relief from anxiety or depression, hoping to improve communication in your relationship, or simply interested in personal growth, I’m here to support you on your path toward deeper understanding and lasting change.
