Anj Caguioa, M.A., MHC
OUTPATIENT THERAPIST
As a Mental Health Counselor, I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and heard. My approach is empowering and collaborative, working with clients in identifying their needs and supporting them in their efforts to meet the goals they have set for themselves. As a Filipinx, international student, and a graduate of Boston College’s Mental Health Counseling program, the counseling perspective I bring and believe in is inclusive, multicultural, holistic, and social justice-oriented. I draw from various theoretical orientations such as person-centered therapy, multicultural psychology, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and relational lenses. I work mostly with young adults who are facing challenges with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationships and family, and life transitions, among others. I enter sessions with the knowledge that my clients are the experts in their own life, and my job as the therapist is to help clients better understand themselves and to help them feel empowered and confident to face life’s challenges.
